About ten years ago?

My kids and my nieces were visiting and sort of tumbling about at my mother’s on Cape Cod. I thought I heard one of them say “Daddy has a (something) seal.”

Daddy has a something seal quickly became Daddy has a Harbor Seal.

Now… where would Daddy have such a thing? And why?

Daddy has a Harbor Seal
He keeps it in the freezer
He keeps it there for Mommy
He thinks that it would please her.

Within a half hour I’d written a dozen verses. I tried to get my brother to illustrate, but the next year my new girlfriend (that’s Mrs. SealPoet to you) said I should illustrate them myself.
